An adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's story, “Where the Wild Things Are” follows the adventure of Max , a mischievous young boy who is sent to his room without supper after rebelling against his mother (Catherine Keener). He then sets his own imaginative world, and soon transports him into a forest inhabited by wild creatures, where mischief reigns and crowns Max as their ruler.

Where the wild things are?
Never read the book, but the teaser trailer got me eager to watch this one. When I see the premiere trailer on Ellen I don't know but I remember "Never Ending Story" also a good production movie from the 80's with a somewhat similar plot like this one. It's a fantasy but I have some tear-jerker moments on some part of that movie.
