The Alchemist: In search of your personal legend?

An allegorical novel by Paulo Coelho. A simple, quick read book that turned to be a modern classic. The story is about a shepherd boy who goes into quest for a treasure, his "Personal Legend" and the wonderful journey and experiences he met along the way. The best part of the story that I liked most is about the twist in the ending, I found it funny and didn't see it coming that way.

My favorite quotes on the book:
* “When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
* “There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
* "It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting."
* "When each day is the same as the next it's because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives everyday the sun rises."
* "Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own."
* "I'm like everyone else - I see the world in terms of what I would like to see happen, not what actually does."
